In Sardinia, it is possible to go biking all year round, adverse weather conditions aside. Single-day excursions are available as well as multi-day tours with numerous intervals. For longer trips, it is necessary to be self-sufficient with adequate excursion and camping equipment no heaver than 10kg.
Avoid rucksacks, instead fixing the baggage as low as possible on the cycle's frame. Clothing is also important; cyclist's clothing in new fibres are widely available which take up little space and are adapted to differing weather conditions. Don't forget to bring a good mack, proper cycling shoes and helmet.
Also recommended for one-day excursions:
Ample drinking water
Sodium integrator
Sun cream
Cycle repair kit
All excursions are accompanied by qualified guides (AMI, FCI). The excursions cross varied and enchanting territories, from deep canyons and miners' pathways to splendid coves and crystal seas.

General information
A physically demanding excursion but interesting nevertheless and well worth it the panorama and enjoyment it offers. The varying landscape of the territory and the view of some of the oldest olive groves in Sardinia make the excursion a must for all.
Description
From Baunei, we follow the State road north through some beautiful countryside until we reach a more uneven road which takes us past the olive groves before coming upon a scene of natural beauty. After appreciating the view of the sea and limestone formations, we continue with care down the descent, coming out onto the miners' pathway which offers us an amazing view of the mountain villages typical of our territory. Continuing our descent, we proceed towards the valley of Baccu Lopiru, where we will see the gigantic karstic arch, one of the many examples of natural beauty to be found in the wild territory of Baunei. After drawing breath, we cycle on the valley floor and follow the path uphill to a ledge overlooking the cove. The last effort takes us down to the Codula della Luna and then the Cala Luna cove itself for a unique view. After the hard work, we can now take a dip in the crystal-clear water and have a bite to eat in the "Su Neulagi" restaurant. Once we have finished our food, we can then board the boat to appreciate one of the wildest and most beautiful stretches of coastline in the Mediterranean with its imposing cliffs rising above the water. After a brief stop at Cala Sisine, we continue our boat trip until the pretty tourist port of Santa Maria Navarrese.
This excursion maybe hard work, but definitely worth it…..
