Route: Leaving Olbia – port you have to follow the indication "Tutte le direzioni" and then you have to turn right again for Cagliari, Sassari, Nuoro 4 lanes. Warning! Do not to follow to Airport / Nuoro – it will take you on the old road. For approximately 90 km you will have to follow the highway S.S. 131 CAGLIARI
From the airport: just outside the airport, turn left toward CAGLIARI / SASSARI / NUORO 4 lanes. For approximately 90 km you will have to follow the highway S.S. 131 still for CAGLIARI. At the periphery of Nuoro follow the indications for Nuoro Hospital and after the roundabout turn right on the direction to Lanusei/Arbatax, covering approximately 70 km of the new highway. At the end of the highway, right after Villanova Strisaili turn left (little before on the right there is an Esso gasoline station) toward Villagrande Strisaili, coast the forest of Santa Barbara and follow the road markings for Tortolì/Arbatax, after reaching the periphery of Tortolì follow the indications for Lotzorai, Baunei, S.M. Navarrese.
Route: From the airport take the road called 554 for Villasimius - at about 6km after Capitana turn left at the round about and take the SS125 and follow the new way for Tortoli, Muravera, Costa Rei, Castiadas. We always have to continue this road direction TORTOLI. After almost 80 km leave the highway and follow the provincial TERTENIA. After a few km incorporates the new SS 125 and continue always towards Tortoli, Arbatax. After Barisardo we reach Tortoli then we follow go for Santa Maria Navarrese following the indications for Lotzorai - Olbia.

There is no continuous railway in Sardinia. Aside from the “Trenino Verde” tourist lines, only a few villages are connected by a rail service, and the journey is slow, especially for the smaller villages.
